On the 5th of February to the 9th of February 2018, the 15th international conference “Refugee Highway Partnership Europe” was held in the Emmaus Monastery, near Den Bosch in the Netherlands. Director of our organization, Toma Magda, represented the organization and its work in the Balkans. This year’s theme was “Stay The Course”
This year’s conference gathered more than 160 representatives of various organizations, churches and foundations from around Europe and the world. Participants gathered around the vision of supporting and helping refugees in their search for a new and safe life. The conference, among other things, seeks to encourage organizations that are actively involved in this work, and to create a space where good practices can be shared, quality information provided, and funds coordinated so that the goal of helping refugees would be achieved. This year plenary speaker was Ron von der Spoel.
Director Toma Magda shared about good practices and challenges that our organization faces in Croatia and Bosnia and Herzegovina, and invited all participants to the next year’s conference which will be held in Sarajevo, organized by RHP and our organization.
