our organization to help Bosnia

March, 2018 – In the period March 19 – 28th, our organization did an analysis of the refugee crisis in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Among the most important outcomes of the analysis is the conclusion about the general instability of the situation and the limited capacity of local governing bodies and NGOs. The problems are multiple and the situation is complex. Based on those conclusions, our organization leadership decided to initiate a focused, organized and coordinated work in order to provide adequate assistance to the refugees, and provide support to local church communities and governing bodies.

There are several local NGOs of limited capacities working in the field alongside individual foreign volunteers, who are doing their best to provide at least basic help to the refugees in B&H.

Recognizing the severity of the situation, our organization created a joint initiative “Creating the Future”, alongside a few local NGOs, with the goal of providing focused, organized and coordinated help to the refugees, as well as support to the volunteers and local governing bodies in dealing with the crisis.
