25 years of Hilfe konkret

Karlsbad, Germany, May 1st 2018 – Humanitarian organization Hilfe konkret celebrated its 25th anniversary in Karlsbad, Germany.

From its very beginnings, the organization was helping with the refugees in Croatia and Bosnia and Herzegovina during the Croatian Homeland war in the 1990s.

Today, Hilfe konkret is partnering with our organization in the refugee crisis that hit Croatia in 2015, and is helping our organization in its work in the Refugee center Porin, Zagreb and in the integrative processes of the refugees in Croatia.

The guests at the celebration were Hilfe konkret board members and various supporters of the organization. Special guests at the celebration were a retired bishop of the Lutheran Church in Germany, former leading bishop of the Lutheran Church in Germany, prof. Klaus Engelhardt, chairman of the Conference of Lutheran Bishops, and Michael Brand, chairman of the Human rights board in German Bundestag.

Present at the celebration was also a significant delegation from Croatia. At the head of the Croatian delegation was the President of the our founding partner and the Director of our organization, Toma Magda, General secretary of the our founding partner and the chairman of the our organization main board, Željko Mraz, and the headmistress of high school in Čakovec, Croatia, Gordana Ramušćak.

Great cooperation between Hilfe konkret and our organization was especially noted during the celebration, and guests from Croatia received a public thank you.
