Successfully implemented WASH project

Bosnia and Herzegovina, May 9th, 2020 – our organization has successfully implemented WASH projects in refugee camps

our organization, in cooperation with partners, has successfully set up sanitation units in camps Blažuj and Ušivak in Sarajevo, and camp Lipa in Bihać, in the midst of government imposed restrictions due to Covid-19. Besides setting up sanitation units, our organization also held a hygiene promotion workshop and distributed hygiene kits to all users of camps Blažuj, Ušivak and Lipa.

Sanitation units are of crucial importance in this time of the coronavirus crisis, as they provide opportunity for refugees and migrants to care for personal hygiene in a dignified way, and help prevent further spread of the virus as well as other diseases.

In the time of the coronavirus crisis, International projects coordinator, Elvis Džafić, commented: “Our mobile units have continued working during this crisis, especially focusing on WASH projects, to support refugees and migrants in the camps in Bosnia. This crisis has limited refugees’ and migrants’ access to aid, especially because their movement is limited by the government. So, we invite all believers and churches to join us in providing aid to this vulnerable group in this difficult time.”

“Serving people who live in these kinds of extreme conditions is a life experience for me. I’m grateful to God for this opportunity.”

We are grateful to everyone who is helping and supporting us and our ministry. If you want to continue following our organization’s work, contact us via This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.
